Deep Winter Day(Poem)

I long to caress the deep winter day,
Wrapped beneath it's cold arms.
Painful breaths out pouring steam.
Barren trees fingerless waving.

Wickedly wailing wind whispering words,
In my ear alone, our secret shared.
We are family, the cold and I,
Kissing my cheek with frigid lips.

We both must surrender too soon,
To choking warmth and the summer moon.
I savor our fast fleeting nights.
Waiting the year to reunite.
